Eligibility Criteria for CIL MT Recruitment 2025
To be eligible for the CIL Management Trainee position, candidates must meet the educational qualifications and age limit criteria.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a relevant postgraduate degree, MBA, B.E./B.Tech., or a professional certification with at least 60% marks Final-year students can also apply but must submit their final results during document verification.
Here are the qualifications required for key disciplines:
- Finance: CA/ICWA qualification is mandatory.
- Personnel & HR: A graduate degree with a two-year full-time PG degree/diploma in HR, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, or related fields with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Legal: Degree in Law (LLB) with at least 60% marks.
- Marketing & Sales: MBA/PG Diploma in Marketing with 60% marks.
- Materials Management: Engineering degree with MBA/PG Diploma in Materials Management with 60% marks.
All degrees must be from recognized universities/institutions, and candidates must meet the minimum percentage criteria.

- General (UR) & EWS: Maximum 30 years

Selection Process for CIL Management Trainee 2025
The selection process includes:
Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- Two papers, each with 100 multiple-choice questions
- No negative marking
- Minimum qualifying marks:
- General/EWS: 40 marks per paper
- OBC: 35 marks per paper
- SC/ST/PwBD: 30 marks per paper
Document Verification
Medical Examination
The final merit list will be prepared based on CBT scores, and shortlisted candidates will proceed for document verification and medical examination before receiving their appointment.
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will be appointed as Management Trainees (MTs) and will undergo training with a competitive salary package:
- During Training: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000 per month
- After Completion of Training: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 per month
